28th EU Film Festival in India 2023: Greek Participation

The European Union Film Festival is an annual event celebrating the diversity and creativity of European cinema, heritage, and culture. It is organized jointly by the Delegation of the European Union to India, Member States, and regional partners. The 28th edition of the Festival will be held in New Delhi from 1 – 10 December 2023 and in Chennai from 19 – 28 January 2024.

The Greek film “Listen” (English subtitles) will be projected on Saturday 2 December 18:30 in Delhi, at the Goethe Institut- Max Mueller Bhavan, 3 KG Marg, Mandi House.

Set in Greece, the film features a 16-year-old hearing-impaired teenager who is compelled to go back from Athens to her father’s struggling island at the times of the financial crisis. There, she faces the harsh reality of prejudice and intolerance, including the shocking realisation of her own biases.
