Free availability of the electronic version of the Utilitarian dictionary of Modern Greek Language of the Academy of Athens

The Academy of Athens, during the event it organized on February 9, Day of the Greek Language, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth of the Republic of Cyprus and the Greek Language Center, offered free of charge to the Greek people , and to anyone interested anywhere, the electronic version of the Utilitarian Dictionary of the Modern Greek Language at the following link:

The electronic database contains approximately 140,000 entries and fixed expressions and is one of the most important dictionaries of Modern Greek to this day. With the seal of the Academy of Athens, is the best consultant for orthographic, morphological, semantic and syntactical problems of Modern Greek. The Utilitarian dictionary of Modern Greek Language is the outcome of years of research by a research group led by Professor Christoforos Charalambakis.
