The 2nd EU-India Conference on Advanced Biofuels was organized by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy and India’s Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas on 11-13 March 2019 at Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi.
The aim of the conference is to facilitate the deployment of advanced renewable fuels in the EU and India and to enable effective cooperation between industry representatives from both sides. It is primarily aimed at technology developers, industry representatives,
India has an ambitious policy to install several advanced biofuels plants by 2020 and this offers significant opportunities for EU companies to participate in this impressive undertaking.
While 2nd Generation biofuels can play an important role in reducing dependence on fossil fuels & increasing percentage share of clean energy in the energy mix, the deployment needs to be fast-tracked through active participation from the private sector.
