Lecture by Prof. A. Rajendran at the Agricultural University of Athens

The Hellenic-Indian Society for Culture and Development (ELINEPA), the Faculty of Animal Science and Aquaculture of the Agricultural University of Athens and the IKE “Hellenic Biological Growing of Aloe and Herbs” organize an open lecture with slides projection on the theme:

“The cultivation of Aloe Vera and its use in pharmaceuticals and production of  fertilizer and animal food.”

At the Library’s Amphitheater, Agricultural University of Athens, (86 Iera Odos, Athens)

The theme was introduced by the Professor of Agricultural School, Dr George Zervas, the President of ELINEPA, Dr Dimitris Vassiliadis, and the chargé d’affaires Ambassador and First Secretary of the Embassy of India, Mr. Gopal Ram. Τhe President of IKE EVKAV, Mr. Manolis Manolis made a brief introduction to the cultivation of Aloe in Greece and Dr Natasha Karabatsou helped in the translation. The speech was followed by questions and discussion with the attending professors and students of the Agricultural School as well as interested cultivators of Aloe who attended the event.

The invitation of Prof. A. Rajendran in Greece and his speech in the Agricultural University of Athens is a continuation of the effort to optimize organic farming and produce a series of aloe products in Greece, launched last October with the visit of the President of ELINEPA, Dr Dimitrios Vassiliadis, and the President of IKE EVKAV, Manolis Manolas, at research centers, organic farming and aloe treatment plants in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
