A journey into the wonderful thought and orthodox ascetic traditions of classical India. In the fourth course of Indian Philosophy, the basic principles of four orthodox schools will be analyzed – Sankhya, Yoga, Nyaya (Rationalism) and Vaisheshika (Realism). Students who have not attended the previous courses can also enroll.
The lessons are held online, under the guidance of the Indologist Dimitrios Vassiliadis, in two sections according to the following program:
Morning class: Every Wednesday from 12.00 to 2.00 pm. Starting on January 12, 2022
Evening class: Every Wednesday from 20.00 to 22.00 pm. Starting on January 12, 2022
Each course usually lasts four months in which the basic principles of the philosophical schools are presented with a critical approach and excerpts of their representative texts in Greek translation are studied.
