Greece strengthens its Embassy in New Delhi to deal with the sharp increase in applications for tourism
By order of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias and in consultation with the Minister of Tourism Vassilis Kikilias, the Greek Embassy in New Delhi, as well as its Consular Office, were immediately reinforced with personnel, in order to deal with the vertical increase in applications for visas for Indian citizens and foreigners living permanently in India, who wish to visit Greece for tourism during the summer months.
The strengthening of the staff of the Consulate is expected to contribute to the faster issuance of tourist visas, as in the past there were long delays, amounting to up to 2 months, resulting in the cancellation of many tour packages.
