The Hemlock Invitation by Sujan Debnath

The book is written in Bengali by a philhellene writer and diplomat who has served for the last three years as a cultural attaché at the Embassy of Bangladesh in Athens.

Sujan Debnath’s love for ancient Greek culture prompted him to choose Greece as his place of work, and after traveling to many archaeological sites from Kos to Delphi and Macedonia, he created stories with his mind inspired by Socrates, Plato, Sophocles, Pericles, Hippocrates, Aspasia and many other personalities of ancient Greece conveying to his country the values ​​of Democracy, the Rule of Law, Science, Theater, Philosophy. the Medical Science, Beauty and Art that were born in Ancient Greece.

The release of the book will take place on February 22, 2020, at the Book Fair in Dhaka. It is expected to be translated into English and Greek shortly thereafter.
