World Conference on the “Greeks, Kushans, Huns and Gurjars: Cultural legacy in the Indian subcontinent”

The Indo-Hellenic Research Center in New Delhi is organizing a four days Virtual World Conference on the “Greeks, Kushans, Huns and Gurjars: Cultural legacy in the Indian subcontinent” from 5 to 8 April 2022.

Scholars are invited to present papers on the main theme or any of the following sub-themes: –

  1. Indo-Greek rulers and their legacy
  2. Agathocles, Sankarshan and Vasudev Krishna
  3. Kushan Empire, Silk route and cultural landscape
  4. Kanishka and his religious syncretism
  5. Huns and their interaction with Shaivism and Vaishnavism
  6. Gurjar Kings, Empire and Culture
  7. Hinduism in the middle kingdoms of India
  8. Hindu art and architecture as cultural capital of South Asia
