World Conference on the “Greeks, Kushans, Huns and Gurjars: Cultural legacy in the Indian subcontinent”
The Indo-Hellenic Research Center in New Delhi is organizing a four days Virtual World Conference on the “Greeks, Kushans, Huns and Gurjars: Cultural legacy in the Indian subcontinent” from 5 to 8 April 2022.
Scholars are invited to present papers on the main theme or any of the following sub-themes: –
- Indo-Greek rulers and their legacy
- Agathocles, Sankarshan and Vasudev Krishna
- Kushan Empire, Silk route and cultural landscape
- Kanishka and his religious syncretism
- Huns and their interaction with Shaivism and Vaishnavism
- Gurjar Kings, Empire and Culture
- Hinduism in the middle kingdoms of India
- Hindu art and architecture as cultural capital of South Asia
