Celebration of International Yoga Day 2023 in Athens

The Yoga Association of Greece is pleased to invite you to this year’s celebration of the 9th International Day of Yoga with the theme “Yoga for Humanity” on Sunday, June 18, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., in the Peristyle of the Athens Conservatory.

The event is outdoors with shade and rain protection and will take place even in rain or storms.

This year’s celebration is organized by the Embassy of India with the participation of the Greek Yoga Association and the “Sivaom” school.

The program is structured as follows:

Speech by the Chargé d’Affaires of the Indian Embassy in Athens / Acknowledgments

Course as per IDY protocol by Shri Siddhartha Khanna Ji

period 1 Lessons by Evi Tassa, Fotini Bitrou and Sahaj Yoga

period 2 Lessons by Ichashaktiananda, Alexandros Petridis, Eleni Korelis

End of program: 20.30

All practitioners and friends of Yoga are invited to participate in this event, which will introduce you to the philosophy, practices, principles of Yoga and enrich you physically as well as spiritually.

On December 11, 2014, the United Nations declared June 21 as World Yoga Day.

Yoga has been included as a World Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO, highlighting its global importance.
