Presentation of the e-tourist visa for India in Athens and Thessaloniki

The office of Indian Tourism in Milan and the Indian Embassy in Athens organized on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Titania Hotel in Athens an information event for obtaining tourist visas for India online (e-tourist visa). The presentation was accompanied by a small reception attended by the Ambassador of India to Greece Mrs. M. Manimekalai, the Director of Indian Tourism Office in Milan Mr. C. Gangadhar, the Assistant Director of Indian tourism office in Frankfurt Mr. Ramkumar Vijayan, the President of EL.IN.E.P.A. Dr Dimitrios Vassiliadis, officials of the Indian Embassy and many representatives of travel agencies from Greece. A similar event is scheduled to take place in Thessaloniki on April 8 at 19:00 at Mediterranean Palace Hotel.

The e-tourist visa is available for Greek citizens from February 26, 2016 and is going to greatly facilitate people living in the province. One can obtain his tourist visa online without having to visit the Indian Embassy in Athens anymore.

The e-visa is valid for 30 days and persons interested to acquire it must apply online 4-30 days before making their journey to India through a special webpage that has been created by the Government of India. Read more about the e-tourist visa HERE
