A couple of Indian origin from London and Nigeria chose Athens for the celebration of their wedding ceremony leaving behind other competing European cities such as Amsterdam, Madrid and Geneva. The beloved city of the goddess of Wisdom is the meeting center of western and eastern civilizations, combining an extremely hospitable atmosphere with all the comforts that a European capital can provide for a fairytale wedding.

The weddings took place in Athens on 8 Aug 2017 – Marriage Ceremony at Zappieon Megaro and Dinner Party at Balux Prive at Glyfada. The wedding was one of the largest ever in Athens. Two of the most famous hotels of Athens, the whole “King George” and much of “Grande Bretagne” have been booked to host approximately 400 guests. General Manager of “Grande Bretagne ” and “King George” Mr. Tim Ananiadis told  to the “Kathimerini” newspaper that the economic benefits from such celebrations are valuable for Greece, especially during off-season.

Over the recent years more and more Indians choose the Greek islands for their wedding celebrations as they find there the ideal serene and romantic scenery for the most important  mystery of their life.
