Polypals: Composing Indian and European art music

Polypals is a duo consisting of two young Greek musicians, Maximilian Pavlakis on Sitar and Apostolis Balafas on Handpan. The duo experiments with musical and structural elements of Indian music, Western European art music, electro-acoustic and electronic music, jazz and many others, with the aim of creating a special and contemporary sound.

In 2023 they released a split release called “Heir” and in 2024 it was time for their first entirely own work “Bioresonance”. The album consists of 5 pieces which are: 1. Bioresonance, 2. Sun, 3. +- (Prosthafairesis) 4. Moon, 5. Triphai.
