The official visit of King Paul and Queen Frederica in India
King Paul of Greece accompanied by Queen Frederica, Foreign Minister Evangelos Averof-Tositsa, and his children paid an official visit to India from February 2 to 12, 1963. He was welcomed by the President of India Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and the Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
During his stay in India, the Greek king laid a wreath at the Memorial of Mahatma Gandhi, visited archaeological sites, the magnificent Nangal dam and the Military Academy.
