Tunji Mela: Festival of Indian Music

21 May – 12 June Athens, Parga, Arta

Τhe Ιndo-Ηellenic Society for Culture and Development (ELINEPA) and the Cultural Non Profit Organization Diadrasi with the kind support of the Indian Embassy in Greece organized an Indian classical music festival (Dhrupad and Kayal) with the following renowned artists invited from India:

Uday Bhawalkar (Dhrupad singer)

Pandit Sri Kant Mishra (Pakhawaj)

Vinod Lele (Tabla)

Shrawani Biswas (Sitar)

Shruti Biswas (Kathak Dance)

The program of the Festival that was a great success in introducing Indian classical music to numerous people in Greece had as it follows:

 Tambla workshop Tuesday 25- Wednesday 26- Thursday 27 May, Pyrou 20 Ν.Κifisia.

 Sitar workshop Tuesday 1- Wednesday 2- Thursday 3 June, Pyrou 20 Ν.Κifisia.

 Saturday 5/06 Concert Parga, Venetian castle.

 Monday 7/06/ Concert Arta, Cultural Center.

 Vocal workshop Wednesday 9 – Thursday 10 – Friday 11, Pyrou 20 Ν. Κifisia.
