The Indian painter Vivekananda Santra will present his work on the theme, “When India Meets Greece” in a solo exhibition at Govedarou Art Gallery in Thessaloniki.
The exhibition shows the ideals of the two historical civilizations, art and architecture with all the mysteries and emotions that provided food for thought to mankind for many centuries. Prominent position in his work held the personalities of Alexander the Great, Asoka, Aristotle and the Buddha, who are depicted through separate presentations of design and color.
The inauguration of the exhibition will take place on Thursday, October 1st at 8pm and will remain open until October 31.
On Monday, October 5 at 11.00 – 14.00 will be a presentation of the technique of the artist in the Govedarou Art Gallery.
The exhibition is under the auspices of the Indian Consulate in Thessaloniki and the Municipality of Thessaloniki.
