One- day conference: “India and Greece – Aspects of Indian Culture in Modern Greece”

The Hellenic-Indian Society for Culture and Development (ELINEPA) invites its members and friends to attend an One-day Conference titled: “India and Greece – Aspects of Indian Culture in Modern Greece” organized by the Postgraduate Program “Educationand Culture” (Direction: “Formation and Culture”), of Harokopio University

on Thursday 1 November 2018 at 16:00

at Harokopio University (70 Venizelou St., Kallithea, Metro Station: Tavros).

The conference will host lectures by K.Markopoulou, teacher, Msc., Dr. D. Vasiliadis, President of Hellenic-IndianSociety for Culture and Development (ELINEPA), and N. G. Kostopoulos, medical & ayurveda doctor. It will also host artistic events, Indian classical  music by D. Roumeliotis and Leonardo Alta, Indian classical dance by Leda Shantala, dancer and choreographer, with her students of the Indian Academy of Classical Dance Bharatta Natyam. Besides, there will take place a cultural educational program for children, organized by Z. Diakoumogiannopoulou and St. Bardi, teachers, MSc (“Educaltour’’).

The purpose of the workshop is to get acquainted with Indian culture and focus on its perspective that is more disseminated in Greek society.

Professor Maria Nikolaidi, Rector of Harokopio University, will do the opening declaration.

H.E. the Ambassador of India to Greece Mrs. Shamma Jain, will honor the event with her presence.
