FICCI Business delegation to Greece
The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is leading a business delegation that’s accompanying the Hon’ble President of India Mr. Ram Nath Covind during his official visit to Greece from June 16 to June 19, 2018. The Indian deligation will have contacts with Greek entrepreneurs active in the fields of information technology, pharmaceuticals, shipping, tourism, agriculture, real estate, infrastructure, media & entertainment, defence and energy.
India-Greece bilateral trade stands at $530 million, while there are very positive prospects for further growth, particularly in tourism, shipping, pharmaceuticals and agricultural products. Already some Greek businesses have begun to operate in India where the culture of Greece and its products are higjly appreciated. Undertaking the construction of the new airport in Kastelli, Crete, by a Greek-Indian infrastructure consortium, and the increasing number of Indian tourists who choose Greece for their holidays shows also the potential for further cooperation both in the air transport sector and in tourism.
