Visit of the Greek military Chief General Dimitrios Choupis in India
The Chief of Defense Forces General Dimitrios Choupis is making an official visit to India from 6 to 11 April 2024, at the invitation of his counterpart General Anil Chauhan.

During their meeting, the 2 Military Leaders had the opportunity to discuss matters of common interest, which included, among others, the regional and international situation, as well as the emerging security challenges as a result of the prevailing foci of instability around the globe.
During his stay in India, the Chief of the Hellenic National Defence also met the Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari, the Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral R Hari Kumar, as well as the Vice Chief of the Army Staff Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi, with whom they referred to operational issues, emphasizing at the same time the special value of the military cooperation of the 2 countries.
The Heads of the Greek and Indian Armed Forces also signed for the first time a Greece-India Military Cooperation Program, which includes a number of activities that will be carried out in both countries and are expected to further strengthen military cooperation and the excellent relations between the two nations.

General Dimitrios Chouthis also laid a wreath at the National War Memorial in New Delhi, while he had the opportunity to meet with the Ambassador of Greece to India, Mrs. Aliki Koutsomitopoulou, with whom they discussed the international developments in the wider region, as well as the relations between the two countries.
