Indian tourist agents in Thessaly

The Administrative Region of Thessaly invited 16 Indian representatives of major tourist agencies (Chrysalis Holidays, DMC Representations, etc.) to visit Meteora, the traditional village of Ambelakia in Mount Olympus, the ancient theater of Larissa, Pelion, Skiathos Island, Lake Plastiras and other touristic sights of the wider region from 14 until 20 June 2017.

The Indian delegation was welcomed by the Regional Director of Thessaly, Mr. Kostas Agorastos, who expressed the wish Thessaly to become an attractive tourist destination for tourists from India as it is a place with a thousand destinations that can offer the visitor unique experiences and warm hospitality .

Then, the Indian agents were guided by the Regional Councilor of Thessaly, Ms. Georgia Kouveli – Kokkalis as well as the Municipal Tourism Directors, and they were fascinated by the beauty of the area, the opportunities it provides for the exercise of alternative forms of tourism as well as for the excellent hotel infrastructure.

The visit was completed with a special event at a well-known hotel in Lake Plastira, where the Indian guests met with tourist agents, hoteliers and professionals in the wider region, in the presence of the Mayor of the Lake Plastiras Mr. Dimitris Tsiantis.
