Summit for the Dharmic Renaissance in Athens

The LAUNCH OF THE DHARMIC RENAISSANCE (Bharat / India) organized a historic meeting on Saturday, April 25, 2026, 7:00 pm at the Athens Conservatory (17-19 Rigillis & Vasileos Georgiou B’).

Jain, Buddhist, Sikh and Hindu (advaita and dvaita) spiritual leaders delivered speeches and interacted with academics, cultural representatives and institutional bodies from Greece and the Acting Ambassador of India and members of the Indian community in Greece. From ELINEPA, the President, Dr. Dimitrios Vassiliadis, the Knight Commander and Senior Advisor of ELINEPA and GIBA, Mr. Georgios Olympios, the Board Member Ioannis Kyriakopoulos, as well as several students from the Center for Indian and Hellenic-Indian Studies in Athens, attended.

The event culminated in the issuance of the Joint “Athens Declaration”, which highlighted the role of culture, philosophy and timeless values as foundations of peace and global harmony.

This initiative highlights Greece as a global meeting point of cultures and substantially strengthens the country’s cultural diplomacy, internationally promoting its cultural heritage and modern creative identity.
