Participation of Kavala in the OTM 2017 in Mumbai

For second consecutive year the Municipality of Kavala via the municipal enterprise “DIMOPHELEIA” participated in the largest international tourism fair of India «Outbound Travel Mart» (OTM), held from 21 to 23 February 2017. Last year Kavala participated with its own stand winning the first prize as the best new destination. This year Kavala was presented in the pavilion of the Greek Tourism Office (EOT), which participated for the first time in OTM. The representation of the Macedonian city was made by the DMC partner of DIMOFELEIA, the Traveleir company, based in Mumbai, which a few months ago  signed an exclusive cooperation agreement for  promotion of Indian tour packages to the City of Kavala.

Both Greek Minister of Tourism Mrs. Elena Kountouras, and Secretary General of EOT Mr. Dimitrios Trifonopoulos,  who visited the OTM in Mumbai, expressed their enthusiasm and support to the Municipality of Kavala for the  opening to the Indian Market that has started in recent years. Most travel agents and visitors who met with the Kavala representative team remembered the beautiful Greek city from the very successful presentation made last year under the title “सिकंदर महान के देश की यात्रा” (Journey to the country of Alexander the Great).
