The Myth of Aryan Invasion in India

In his speech below, Dr David Frawley argues that the Aryan Invasion theory is a creation of the British colonists that was later supported by German scholars, and Marxists in India and abroad for their own political and ideological purposes. In his attempt to reject this theory, Dr Frawley draws arguments from the geological descriptions we encounter in the Vedas as well as from the numerous archaeological sites that have been discovered throughout Northwest India, considerably widening the civilization of the region and uncovering its continuity through time.
In India, the non-Aryan Invasion theory initially was supported by Shri Aurobindo on linguistic grounds and by Dr Bimrao Ambedkar on anthropological grounds. Today it has become a predominant trend amongst Hindu scholars who try to rewrite Indian history.
Dr David Frawley (Pandit Vamadeva Shastri) is an USA born Indologist and teacher in the Vedic tradition.
