“Sacred Dance in Ancient Greece and India” with Leda Santala

On the occasion of the International Dance Day, the distinguished choreographer and teacher of Bharat Natyam dance, Leda Shantala, will give a speech on the theme “Sacred Dance in Ancient Greece and India” on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 7.30 pm at the Shantom Cultural Center (Tripolis 35A & Evias, metro station Cholargos, Kato Chalandri, tel. 210 – 6717529)

The comparative study of the two dancing traditions has been a source of inspiration for many of the productions of Leda Santala, which have brought closer the ancient Greek and Indian classical art and philosophy. Extracts from these productions will be presented during her lecture.
