Tagore-Nazrul Birth Anniversary Celebration 2016

The Embassy of Bangladesh in Athens organized on 4th June 2016 a special cultural event to celebrate the birth anniversary of its national poets Rabindranath Tagore and Kazi Nazrul Islam.

The event took place at the premises of the Embassy of Bangladesh and was attended by hundreds of members of the Bangladeshi community who live and work in Athens.

During the program, speeches were delivered by:

H.E. Mr. Jasmin Uddin, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Greece

Dr. Dimitrios Vassiliadis, Chairman of the Hellenic-Indian Society for Culture and Development (ELINEPA)

Mr. Kostas Kalaitzis, musician and member of ELINEPA

and several other distinguished members of the Bangladeshi community in Greece.

A rich cultural program followed in which Greek and Bangladeshi artists took part. Several young and older members of the Bangladeshi community had the opportunity to exhibit their talent in dance and music.
