Tribute to Vasiliki Tampouri
Vassiliki Tampouri, a leading painter and teacher of painting, left our world on January 4, 2017. She was Creator and representative of the Association of Greek Visual Artists & Cultural Creators “Technosfaira” whose work inspired hundreds of young and old artists.
Faithful to the humanitarian and Hellenic values, she reflected through her works an inexhaustible love for Greece, but also an intense concern for the current economic and social crisis in the country. Her last wish published on her website states: “I hope the ship “GREECE” will soon sail again proudly and freely in the seas !!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The excellent painter worked with ELINEPA in various events. The most important were the presentation of the tribute book for the 150 years since the birth of Rabindranath Tagore and the 147th Birthday of Mahatma Gandhi at the Cultural Center FLISVOS of Municipality of Palaio Faliro in February 2012 and October 2016 respectively.
The Hellenic-Indian Society for Culture and Development (ELINEPA) expresses its deep sorrow for the loss and its deepest condolences to her family and relatives.
