World Food India 2019 offers investment opportunities in India’s Food Processing Sector
Second Edition of World Food India is being held at New Delhi, India from 1-4 November 2019.
One of the largest food industry events in the world, World Food India (WFI), envisioned and championed by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India, intends to establish global linkages and facilitate foreign investments in India’s USD 915 billion farm -to-fork ecosystem. World Food India is designed to offer an unusual peek into India’s food and culture as well as opportunities to invest and prosper from one of the world’s largest consumer markets. India is amongst the largest producers and consumers of food in the world, opening up huge opportunities for specific post-harvest management technology suppliers, cold chain infrastructure and refrigerated transport players to process food products and for retail chains.
WPI 2019 event will be the biggest gathering of all global and domestic stakeholders in the Food Processing Sector and will position India as Food Processing Destination of the World. It will consist of many top-level seminars, exhibitions, country sessions, investment opportunities, high-level CEO roundtables, B2B (Business to Business) and B2G (Business-to-Government) networking, etc.
The Indian government initiated World Food India (WFI) as a biennial event, to promote food processing sector at a global level. 1st edition of WFI was held in 2017 and witnessed participation from 61 countries, ministers from several countries, Indian states, and UTs participated, more than 8,000 B2B meetings held and MoUs worth USD 14 billion were signed.
