2 Unique Shows at Dora Stratou Theatre on Saturday and Sunday

Art gives birth to civilization, unites, but above all, elevates man to joy, which is his true nature.

The Main attraction of the 11th “Bollywood and Multicultural Dance Festival” in Athens, Greece, will be the two mega shows on Saturday, 28th June, and Sunday, 29th June, from 21:00 onwards at the traditional Greek Amphitheatre, Dora Stratou, in the heart of Athens.

With extravagant Bollywood choreographies and the Indian element at the forefront, the founder of 1st Bollywood Dance Academy Greece, Anna Dimitratou and the Indian Bollywood dance performer, teacher and choreographer Sumon Rudra, accompanied by members of the Academy and more than 250 artists from over 15 countries worldwide, including many internationally recognized teachers and dancers, will lead us into a spectacular dance journey with over 40 captivating choreographies that showcase the beauty and richness of various cultures from the East and West.

Some of the brightest stars of world dance will be at the historic Dora Stratou Theater from June 27 to 29, 2025.

A glimpse into the list of the Dance Professionals this year: The Odissi Dance Guru Sujata Mohapatra from India, Karan Pangali and KSPARK Entertainment from United Kingdom, Iswarya Jayakumar with Royalusion from Singapore, Jigar Soni from India and SSGD Europe from United Kingdom, Hardy Singh with Pure Bhangra from the United Arab Emirates, Sonia Tharani from Spain, Kinga Malec from Poland with Mohini Dance Group, Mélodie Toussaint from France, Krystal Chow from Hong Kong, Jill Otter from Canada, along with major dance groups from Greece and abroad such as: Εthnomusicological Institution P. Zisi, IndraDance Academy from Romania, Hamazkayin Nairi Dance Group with Armenian dances, Moksha Arts Dance Academy from USA, and many other artists and dance groups will take the audience on a journey through the magical world of dance and movement.

During both shows and the Competition, Social and Philanthropic Organizations will be with us – as always – with great interest! This year, we are especially honored to have with us “One Ethical Farma,” the shelter dedicated to the care of animals that have been abandoned, abused, or raised in exploitative conditions.

A variety of dance workshops from renowned artists, the “10th International Bollywood Dance Competition”, and an Opening Welcome Party will also take place in the Festival (27 th – 29 th June 2025).

During the 2 amazing Shows and the Competition, a Mini Bazaar will be operating in the Theatre. At the same time, participants will be able to try Indian food form the Famous Restaurant “Indian Chef”.

The Festival is organized by the Artistic Studio Oriental Expression and the 1st Bollywood Dance Academy Greece, in collaboration with the Hellenic-Indian Society for Culture and Development (ELINEPA) and under the Auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO), the City of Athens, the Embassy of India in Athens, and the International Dance Council (CID).
