Celebration of International Yoga Day 2025 in Athens

The celebration of International Yoga Day in Athens will take place this year with two separate events organized by two important Yoga organizations in Greece: one on Saturday, June 21 from 10:00 to 20:00 at the Athens Conservatory by the Embassy of India and the Yoga Association of Greece, and one on Sunday, June 22 from 12:00 to 20:00 at the Alsos N. Smyrnis, organized by the Yoga Federation of Greece with the participation of the Yoga Association of Greece.
Both events are part of the celebration of the same anniversary, are open to the public, and invite all yoga friends to participate with comfortable clothes, their mats, and an open heart!
Saturday’s event at the Athens Conservatory (17-19 Rigillis & Vas. Georgiou B’, Athens) includes a rich program with presentations, yoga practices with experienced teachers from various systems and schools, meditations, breathing techniques and experiential approaches to yoga.
As part of the celebration, between 13:00 – 15:00, the Ambassador of India to Greece and the Ambassador of Greece to India will deliver a greeting, followed by an official Embassy class in accordance with the Protocol of the Indian Ministry of Yoga.

Sunday’s event at Alsos N. Smyrnis features 25 teachers from all over Greece, offering lessons and sessions on the philosophy and practices of yoga from 12:00 to 19:15, as well as group meditation at 19:30.

Musical evening at the National Garden
On the occasion of International Yoga Day and International Music Day, Sahaja Yoga Greece and the National Garden are organizing an evening of Indian dance, music and meditation on Saturday, June 21st at the National Garden from 6:00 pm.

Indian Classical Music by the acclaimed Anandita Basu
Indian Classical Kuchipudi Dance with the charismatic performer Natalie Ondriskova
Meditation with the Sahaja Yoga method
