Athens in the rythm of Bollywood
The 6th Bollywood and Multicultural Dances Festival, which was held on Saturday and Sunday 30 June and July 1, 2018, was successfully completed at the Dora Stratou dance theater in Philopappou.
With the lead of the 1st Academy Bollywood, dancers from Greece, India, Spain, America, Armenia, Finland, France, Germany, Ukraine, Romania, Georgia and many other countries created a spectacular program with original choreographies and dance performances that enthralled the audience, which enjoyed top moments of partnership of different dance and music streams that unite cultures.
With the same enthusiasm were made the Dance seminars, the Opening Beach Party and the 5th International Bollywood Competition where awarded prizes, medals, and distinctions.
The festival closed with the established ceremony, where audiences and dancers joined in Bollywood rhythms and became one great group of joy.
The organizers said about the Festival:
“We have had great moments with our guests from Greece and the whole world. We thank the Hellenic Tourism Organization for its auspices and courtesy, the International Dance Council (CID – Unesco), the ANT1 and ERT TV channels for the coverage of the Festival, as well as all our sponsors for their support in this event that brought together people, customs and cultures. It was thus confirmed, quite rightly, our belief that the dance unites people and nations, since it knows no boundaries and limitations. We are updating our appointment for the 7th Bollywood and Multicultural Dance Festival in July 2019, until we meet again.”
The Festival is under the aegis of the Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT) and the International Dance Council (CID – UNESCO) and it was organized by the Artistic Studio Oriental Expression, the 1st Bollywood Dance Academy Greece and the Hellenic-Indian Society for Culture and Development (ELINEPA).
