Evening of Indian Classical Chamber Music

Many friends of Indian music and members of ELINEPA gathered on the evening of Saturday, April 13 at the home of the Glinou family in Athens where they attended a unique concert of Indian classical chamber music.

The musicians participated:
Giorgos Glinos (sarod, tabla and ghatam)
Lefteris Mitropoulos (tabla, guitar)
Pericles Bitsopoulos (sitar, tabla)
Yannis Zannis (tabla)

After the end of the concert, which lasted until late at night, a homemade delicious Indian dinner followed.

Chamber music without microphones and a commercial feel has traditionally been the best approach to the quality and philosophy of Indian classical music.
