“The Theater of the Oppressed as a catalyst for social change in India” – Lectures by Jana Sanskriti in Athens and Nafplio

Lectures – Discussion with Dr. Sanjoy Ganguly, Director-Animator-Writer, Sima Ganguly, Actor, and Sujoy Ganguly, Director-Animator, who lead the famous theater organization Jana Sanskriti in India.

Topic: “Theatre as a Catalyst of Social Change in India – The Jana Sanskriti and the Theater of the Oppressed in West Bengal,”.
Examples of social intervention from the forty-year course of the famous theater movement.

In Nafplion, there will be an experiential workshop with the students of the Master’s Program “Theatre and Society: Theory, Stage Practice and Teaching”, the undergraduate students, as well as selected theater professionals and members of theater groups.

The lectures are open to the public with free entrance.
